My first large-scale professional mural was created at BnA WALL Hotel in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, as part of a collaborative public art installation sponsored by Pebeo Japan and developed in partnership with Temple University Japan and TokyoDex. Painted on a monumental multi-artist wall within the hotel’s creative space, this project marked a major milestone in my transition from studio and canvas work into immersive public art.

Working within my designated upper-left quadrant of the wall, I developed a concept centered around cultural connection, celebration, and movement. My composition features two stylized geometric figures sharing a sake toast beneath a vivid, explosive sky—symbolizing unity, reflection, and human connection. Drawing inspiration from Japanese visual culture while integrating my own bold contemporary artistic language, I blended expressive painterly textures, dramatic color transitions, symbolic architecture, and layered abstract square petals to create an emotionally charged and visually dynamic environment.

This mural challenged me to adapt my personal style to architectural scale while maintaining both individuality and cohesion within a collaborative larger composition. Through the integration of fiery oranges, deep blues, and flowing teal transitions, my section was designed to naturally command attention while seamlessly connecting to neighboring artists’ quadrants.

Created using Pebeo Japon acrylic MAT paints, this experience strengthened my understanding of professional mural execution, large-scale composition, public visibility, and site-specific storytelling. More than a university collaboration, this project became a defining moment in expanding my practice into hospitality, commercial, and luxury mural spaces.
